Normally, they should last a least a few weeks to a few months if the main battery is dead. If the main battery is dead I've had mine work fine 6mo+ later. Your battery could just have lost it's charge most likely.Charge at a constant 700 mA until voltage reaches 4.2V (at which point it will be about 60% charged). 2. Continue charging at a constant 4.2V until the charge voltage drops to 100 mA (at which point the battery is charged). I get CC alerts several hundred meters from mast mounted 25W repeaters sending beacons - but my Baofeng UV-5R failed to trigger CC even about 60 meters from my house. The headphone jack on the sds100 has the lowest output of any scanner I have ever had. I have had lots of scanners in my time. The old scanners worked fine with a amplified speaker plugged in the headphone jack. The SDS100 is silent. When I stop the SDS100 on the exact same frequency that the TRX-1 is decoding, programmed as a DMR freq., it doesn't even make a hit on the signal bar. Sep 6, 2018 · I believe it’s Uniden’s use of a radio case (for the SDS100) used in their marine line of portable radios that’s at issue here. The marine case is touted as being waterproof/resistant so Uniden kept the moisture resistant feature and advertised it as a plus for the SDS100. But the marine portables don’t use SDR. Just received by SDS-100 was not receiving anything and was returned to Uniden. Received the unit back today and still no radio traffic. Repair that was performed was cold solder joint. Explained in my note to them have worked with radios since the 1980's.
